The open Annual Parish Meeting will be held on 15th May @ 7.30pm, for you to meet the parish councillors. A representative from Safe Roads Humber will give a brief talk and answer questions.  Agendas and minutes for meetings go on the Parish noticeboard and on the website (http://www.seatonrossparishcouncil.org.uk/home).  

POCKLINGTON CANAL BRIDGE AND HAGG BRIDGE – WORKS STARTS 23 MARCH 2020
Planning permission has been granted to construct a concrete slab over he Pocklington Canal Bridge and Hagg Bridge, strengthening both structures and allowing a bespoke vehicle restrain system to be installed which is in keeping with the Grade II listed structures.  Due to the narrow carriageway,  permanent traffic lights will be installed. Duration:  Approx. 6 months. 
The diversion route is available on the Seaton Ross website.

SEATON ROSS HISTORY GROUP Come along to an open meeting on Tuesday 31st March at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.  There will be short presentations on the Church, Seaton Ross Feast, Seaton Ross Pears and Hunt family histories.  If you would be interested in doing a 10 minute presentation that evening on a village history topic of your choice –please ring 318411 or 318995 or 318970.

TOPICAL TALKS @ THE VILLAGE HALL @ 7.30pm
Tuesday 24th March: “The climate emergency – what it means for us” – David Raffaelli

The Topical Talks will recommence in the autumn.

ANNUAL LITTER PICK
SUNDAY 15TH MARCH
Thank you to all those who keep the village tidy but there’s lots of litter being left on our grass verges coming into the village from all directions, which makes them very unsightly and often dangerous for animals.   So please join us at the village hall @1.30pm.  Bags, gloves high viz jackets and litter grabbers will be provided.

Seaton Ross Ladies Group

We offer a warm welcome to all ladies in Seaton Ross and surrounding villages.  We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, normally from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm in Seaton Ross Village Hall To cover costs we ask for £2.00 per person for refreshments and a ticket for the raffle.
Diary dates 2020:  3rd March: Talk by Lynda Hornsey “Hop along with life; 7th April: Easter Crafting with Tine; 5th May: Spring Lunch at the KP Club.

ST EDMUNDS CHURCH
The Mothering Sunday service will be held on Sunday 22nd March @ 10.00am.  It is a short service for all the family and you are warmly welcomed.   

There will be Holy Communion @ 9am on Easter Sunday 12th April at Seaton Ross.

VE Day 75th Anniversary 

Events are being planned  -please keep an eye out for details!!!

25th April - Plant sale - please donate any surplus plants you have – and come and buy!  To help raise much needed funds for the village hall.
