Bielby Church, the Food Bank and the Coronavirus Crisis

Bielby Church, the Food Bank and the Coronavirus Crisis

1 - As you may well have heard in the news, in keeping with the Government's requirements, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have instructed all Church of England church buildings to be closed for the time being.  There are no public services until further notice.  The Archbishops ask that we observe Lent and Easter privately.  After all, a church is people, not simply a building.

2 - The local food bank, The People's Pantry, is run by our rector, the Revd. Canon Stephen Cope.  If you wish to speak to him about supplies from (or indeed support for) the Pantry, or other issues, you can contact Stephen on 01430-626728 or at stephenvcope@tiscali.co.uk
He is ready to help.  As Stephen says, that's what he's here for.

(If you wish to donate to the food bank, supplies can be dropped off at Margaret's DIY in Holme, or on the Holme Vicarage doorstep.)

3 - For any further information you can contact Bielby's churchwardens: John Peel (318311) or Steve Smith (318459).
