The open Annual Parish Meeting will be held on 15th May @ 7.30pm, for you to meet the parish councillors. A representative from Safe Roads Humber will give a brief talk and answer questions. POCKLINGTON CANAL BRIDGE AND HAGG BRIDGE – WORKS STARTS 23 MARCH 2020
Planning permission has been granted to construct a concrete slab over he
Pocklington Canal Bridge and Hagg Bridge, strengthening both structures and
allowing a bespoke vehicle restrain system to be installed which is in keeping
with the Grade II listed structures. Due
to the narrow carriageway, permanent
traffic lights will be installed. Duration: Approx. 6 months.
The diversion route is available
on the Seaton Ross website.

ANNUAL LITTER PICK
SUNDAY 15TH MARCH
Thank you to all
those who keep the village tidy but there’s lots of litter being left on our
grass verges coming into the village from all directions, which makes them very
unsightly and often dangerous for animals.
So please join us at the village hall @1.30pm. Bags,
gloves high viz jackets and litter grabbers will be provided.
Seaton Ross Ladies Group
We offer a warm welcome to all ladies in Seaton Ross and surrounding
villages. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, normally from 2.00
pm to 4.00 pm in Seaton Ross Village Hall To cover costs we ask for £2.00 per
person for refreshments and a ticket for the raffle.

April: Easter Crafting with Tine; 5th May: Spring

The
Mothering Sunday service will be held on Sunday
22nd March @ 10.00am. It is a short service for all the
family and you are warmly welcomed.
There will be Holy Communion @ 9am on Easter Sunday 12th April at Seaton Ross.

WILLIAMS. Based on Peter’s garden at Weathervane House and his plants throughout the year,

There will be another “Topical Talk” in March. Look out for details on posters, the village web site and on the community Facebook page. If you have any suggestions for Talks in Winter 2020/21, which could include Q&A as well as presentations, please contact Davina (318970)
The 150 CLUB is an important fund raiser for the Village Hall. It means that anyone can support this
important village facility even if they don’t immediately need it, plus having at least 48 chances of winning a prize over a year. Much better odds than the national lottery, and for the benefit of the whole village as anyone can hire the village hall.
There are 11 monthly draws of 4 PRIZES- 1 of £25, 1 of £20 and 2 of £10. There is a bonus draw in
November with a 1st prize of £100, 2nd £50, and 2 at £20 plus other prizes, so that the prizes for the whole year equal half the funds collected by the 150 Club, which is the legal requirement. The annual cost for one ticket is only £12, two tickets double your chances of winning. If you would like to join please contact Anna Sheldon on 01759 318602 or 07757797633 or email aa.sheldon@hotmail.co.uk The volunteer collector for your road will call to answer any questions and collect subs from the end of February. If you wish to pay by electronic bank transfer instead of cash or cheque please request bank details and the reference needed from your collector or contact Anna. The first draw will be in APRIL.

Diverse gardens ranging from small cottage plots to larger gardens, including two that regularly open for the NGS/Yorkshire Arboretum.
Tea/coffee/juice and homemade cakes in the village hall.
Other attractions on the day include St. Edmund's Church with displays, a Bugs, Bees and Butterflies Trail and children’s quiz.
There will be plants for sale in some gardens

Murder Mystery Play Saturday 17th November
The Everingham drama group are reprising their successful Murder Mystery at Seaton Ross on Saturday 17th November.

Easter Egg Hunt Seaton Ross 16th April 2017
Easter Egg Hunt - Easter Sunday at noon from the Seaton Ross Playing Fields. We will be holding the annual Easter Egg Hunt which covers all ages. There are routes for smaller children around the Playing Fields and routes for older children around the Village with lots of prizes! Walking, cycling, scooters etc but no cars. Donations in aid of the Playing Fields.

Seaton Ross Playing Fields will be holding a quiz at the Village Hall, Seaton Ross on Saturday 12 March 2016 at 8pm.
It is usually an entertaining evening! Tickets are £5 per person and

Seaon Ross Playing Fields News - Fun Fridays
Seaton Ross Playing Fields News - Fun Fridays!
On a Friday evening between 5pm-7pm
during summer we are making all the equipment that we have recently
purchased available for everyone to use (weather permitting!).
There
will be all the new play equipment and then all the sports equipment
(e.g. rounders, cricket and football) as we are arranging for the big
field to be cut fortnightly during the summer.
This is an informal and
unsupervised event for children of all ages and their parents but it
should be an excellent opportunity to meet up and have some fun with
all the new equipment during the summer months.
This will all start on
Friday 5th June 2015.
