The Christmas walk is on Sunday 30th at 10:30am, meeting at Mill Lane.
We will be walking to Seaton Ross, and may be calling at the pub for a quick drink.

Merry Christmas From Ambleside Hens

The hens at Ambleside would like to wish you all a Merry Cluckmas!

Neil would like to thank all his egg customers for their custom this year.

Whilst Neil will be enjoying the festive season the hens don't realise they can take a few days off and will still be laying, so if anyone is in need of some eggs over the festive period then pop along to Neil's.

These are traditionally reared, hand dry plucked and oven ready.

The weights range from 11 lbs to 18 lbs and they are £3.50 / lb.

Broadband in Bielby

Broadband in Bielby For those of you wondering about my last post on this subject I have subsequently contacted Quickline Communications with a view to taking up a contract with them. They suggest we should achieve download speeds of 10-14 Mb/sec which is about 15-20 times what we currently achieve with BT. The cost is a one off charge of £195 for installation of the aerial, receiver and router and then £25.50 per month. I will be sending off the paperwork in the next few days with installation due early next year. Gareth Jones

I should like to thank Peter & Val Nolton and all the kind people who supported the recent coffee morning. I am deeply touched and most grateful for the kind thoughts and the contribution to the York Against Motor Neurone disease charity after the recent passing of my dear wife Linda. Hopefully the money will go some way in supporting others who are suffering with this dreadful disease.

Successful Coffee Morning

Pete and Val Nolton would like to say a Big Thank-you to our Family, Friends and people in the village who helped and supported us at our Coffee Morning, at Cherry Court, on Saturday 1st December.

We are delighted to report that we raised £250.00 for York Against Motor Neurone Disease and £273.00 for St. Giles Church, Bielby.

We had a wonderful morning and hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Children's Crib Making Service Sunday 16th December 2012

Children's Crib Making Service Sunday 16th December 2012 10.30am St Giles's Church Bielby.

We shall have a short and simple service for children (and parents) to prepare the crib for Christmas.

 It will last 20-30 minutes and include some easy carols like "Away in a manger".

Everyone is welcome.
