Boo Hewerdine House Concert.
Some of you may have already heard, but we have booked Boo Hewerdine, the internationally acclaimed songwriter, for a house concert at The Stores, Bielby, YO42 4JL. (Cream coloured house with red door at Seaton Ross end of Bielby) on Saturday 18th May, arrive 7.30 for 8.00pm start.

This is a non profit making venture. Purely for your enjoyment! Tickets will be priced at £12.50.
There are 50 tickets only, so in order to ensure a ticket please either email me, phone me, drop a note through the door that you want to buy a ticket and pay on the door.
Please bring your own refreshments bottle / flask etc.
There is some limited off road parking, This will be shown as "Boo Parking", but parking on the road is possible.

24th Bielby Produce Show Saturday 10th August 2013
We just wanted to let you know that the 24th Bielby Produce Show will be held on Saturday 10th August 2013.
The leaflet and entry forms will be delivered shortly so that you can start to get your entries ready.
The Bucket O Spuds Competition is back by popular demand. It's £5 to enter and you will receive a bucket and a seed potato so that you can attempt to grow the most potatoes by weight! The person who grows the heaviest amount of potatoes will win a cash prize! The bucket and seed potato will be available from this weekend, contact Graham Tew, Richard Coe, Jenny Smith or Janet Readman if you are interested.
There will be a raffle on the day so if anyone wishes to donate a raffle prize then that would be great, just pop a prize along to one of the committee members.
We look forward to seeing your produce show entries, so get growing, producing and creating!

Parish Meeting Secretary
As you are aware this Month's parish meeting is the AGM where we vote for Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
Rachael indicated at the last AGM that she would rather not stand for secretary. As much as I would love her to carry on I respect the reasons for her wanting to stand down.
I have unsuccessfully tried to get some people to stand for this position so am writing this in the hope someone will take on this role on behalf of the village.
I am sure Rachael will explain what the role involves if you are interested so please anyone that is interested and would like to do something constructive on behalf of the village please put your name forward either before the meeting or on the evening of the 29th.
As Winston Churchill said on becoming Prime Minister, "I have nothing to offer but blood tears and sweat".
