Mill Lane - temporary road closure in July

Mill Lane will be closed temporarily between July 13th and 15th for a water supply to be installed.

The notice below has been received from ERYC.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
Part of Mill Lane, Bielby
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of
this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Mill
Lane, Bielby between Acorn Cottage and the junction with Main Street, commencing 13th July 2020 until 15th July
2020.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to install a new water supply to be carried out in
a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it
is anticipated that the works will be completed within 3 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: N/A There will be a road plate onsite to
maintain access for residents.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents.
