Volunteers Wanted 3rd November

Volunteers are wanted on Saturday 3rd November to help clear dead branches from the path that leads to the war plaque. Meet at 10am.

Waterways Strategy Consultation Document

For anyone interested there is a waterways strategy 2012-2020 consultation document available for people to view and comment on. This is a long term strategic approach to the development of the inland waterways, including Pocklington canal. This consultation period is from 24th September to 19th October. Duck Race Sunday 28th October 2012

Duck Race

Just wanted to let you know that the Duck Race will take place on Sunday 28th October 2012.

To take place at 11.00 a.m. at the bridge, Mill Lane. Ducks can be purchased in advance from Richard & Christine Tel: 01759 318314 or call at Hollycroft Court, £2.00 each.

Prizes include Homemade Christmas Cake, Christmas Hamper, Vegetable Hamper, Hairdressers voucher, Swimming vouchers, Chylds Play voucher.
Maximum of one prize per person.

There will be homemade soup for sale.

Weather permitting we hope to see everyone there.

All proceeds towards the running costs of Bielby Church.

Following the service in the church the congregation will
Walk to the memorial plaque down the canal for prayers
And the Last Post followed by a fly past of aircraft
From Breighton Airfield.
