Bielby Music Festival 2012 “The Picnic” Sunday August 26th 3pm to 10.30pm
Bielby Music Festival 2012
“The Picnic” Sunday August 26th 3pm to 10.30pm, in Bielby.
Bielby Music Festival is back!
People say that is “Probably the smallest festival in the world”, they may be right, but it is perfectly formed!
Festival organisers Richard Coe and Ian Simpson are confident that this year will be better than ever. Richard said “ With three live bands and many singer songwriters on the line up, it proves to be the best entertainment for miles around.
The festival is held in a paddock in the village.” Ian pointed out that “ We have an outside bar provided by The Gait at Millington, with some local beers.
We have posh loos provided by “At Your Convenience”.
If people bring a picnic, a blanket and seat they can settle in to an afternoon and evening’s exciting programme.
If the weather is poor we will hold the festival inside three marquees”
The line up includes Pink Cadillac, Funktion, Northern Rock, Joe Mills, Stan Graham, Livvy Rooks, Cowboy DC and Martin Ledger and others.
The first band is on at 3pm and the last band finishes at 10.30pm.
Any profit will go towards local charity CRUSE and Marie Curie. (Last year raised £2400 for Macmillan).
Tickets at £10 for adult £5 for children from 01759 318328 or 318314.

Birth Announcement
As most of you will already know Stephen and I would like to announce the birth of our son Thomas Ridsdale.
He will be the fourth generation of male Ridsdale to live in Bielby in the last 52 years following his father (Stephen), grandfather (Terry) and great grandfather (Hugo).
We would like to thank all our friends in Bielby for their kind words, cards and gifts - your kindness has been overwhelming and thanks to Alex & Vince for the blue balloons which was a total surprise when I arrived home.
Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Volunteers Needed For Produce Show Preparation
The 23rd Bielby Produce Show will be held on Saturday 4th August 2012.
We are looking for volunteers to help put up the marquees in the church grounds on Thursday 2nd August from 6pm.
We may also need some helpers on the Friday daytime to put the tables into place and the cloths on the tables ready for the exhibits. We have a plan of the layout from last year so hopefully this is not too difficult a job!
Also Friday evening we may need help putting up the signing in & teas and coffee marquee if we haven't got it put up on the Thursday evening.
Let us know if you can help on the Thursday or Friday. Committee members include Richard and Christine, Janet, Graham, Peter Y, Jenny S and me (Sara). Thanks in advance.
