Raising Money For Hearing Dogs

Some of you may be aware that James and Elizabeth Jones from the village have been undertaking several daredevil activities in preparation for a 100m abseil down The Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The preparations included: GoApe (where Elizabeth spent most of her time suspended upside down), 250m zipwire over a lake with an undignified landing (Elizabeth again) 150ft abseil into the abyss at Magna, (Elizabeth’s glove got caught in the equipment, are you seeing a theme here…) and several short abseils off a bridge in Derbyshire, (no mishaps this time!). On 3rd July, we completed the final challenge and abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower and we both lived to tell the tale. So far we have raised £1,215 for the charity through our JustGiving page, which can be found here if you would like to contribute: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/goingdownwiththejoneses

or donations can be made in person to James or Elizabeth.
