At the last village meeting we said we would do a village walk on Monday 3rd Jan. We will be doing a lovely walk from Market Weighton. We will meet at Neil Readman's at 10am or if you prefer you can be at the car park opposite the statue in Market Weighton for 10-15am. See you there.

Village Walk 29th December 2019
A reminder to all that we will be having the village walk on Sunday 29th Dec. We are meeting at Neil Readmans house at 10am for a drive to North Newbald then a walk from there with a pub lunch after.

Bielby Village Walk Sunday 30th December 2018
Bielby Village Walk Sunday 30th December 2018
Neil Readman has sorted out this year's route so meet at his house (Ambleside) next to the pub at 10am and then go in convoy to North Newbald where we are going on a lovely 6 mile walk incorporating part of the Wolds Way with hopefully fantastic views of the Vale of York and beyond.
Returning back to the centre of the village for refreshments at either of the village pubs in North Newbald - The Tiger or The Gnu. No catering has been booked, that is up to individuals to sort if they wish to do so.

Village Walk 28th December 2017
The village walk is on Thursday 28th December 2017. Meet at 10am at Mill Lane end. Going to walk round Millington so a few cars will be needed to get there.
Good boots or wellingtons a good idea and you could take your walking pole/stick if you have one as there are a few hills. Hoping to have refreshments at the pub at Millington afterwards.

Annual Village Walk
The annual village walk is organised for Thursday 29th December, meeting at the corner of Mill Lane ( near Margaret's house) at 11am.
The villagers will be walking to Melbourne and the Melbourne pub will do the walkers soup and sandwiches.

Christmas Walk Sunday 28th December 2014
The proposed date for the Christmas Walk this year is Sunday 28th
meeting place is at the top of Mill Lane (outside Margaret’s) at
10.30am. The route will be on a potential pub route, probably Melbourne
again via another route. It was suggested that we should let the
Melbourne Arms know of our impending arrival so

Village Walk Well Attended
Really enjoyed the village walk on Sunday to Seaton Ross.
We had a really good turnout and the weather was kind to us, only a brief shower and a cold cross wind at one point, but that didnt deter us from reaching our destination at the Black Horse for a quick refreshment.
The group seemed to split up for the return walk back with some choosing different routes back but presume all made it back to Bielby! Maybe we shoud have another village walk soon, there are lots of footpaths around to chose from.
