The Community and Crime Officer has asked for this to be passed on so we are all aware.
Last week in Pocklington 140 cars had their tyres punctured. This was done
mainly on Wednesday or Thursday but also some over the following two nights.
These incidents have occurred all over Pocklington there is no pattern
or targeted area but the incidents have mainly happened on the outskirts
of town including quiet roads and cul de sacs.
The description the police have is of a white adult male, slim to medium
build with dark hair. Unfortunately at this time they are unable to assess
the age of this suspect. He is believed to be driving a white car derived
van with a black stripe along side possibly a Ford Connect or a Vauxhall
Combo which police are hoping to further identify with a number plate soon.
It is believed that this person is local and knows the area well. The incidents
occurred overnight between 8pm and 8am a few being narrowed down to 1am
- 2.30am and around 4.45am.
