Wanted - Musical Instruments For Under 5s
If anyone has any children's musical instruments for the under 5s that they don't want any more, Julie Tew would be happy to make use of them for the story and rhyme time at the library. Julie has plenty of shakers but if anyone has any small drums, tamborines, xylophones going free then that would be brilliant. Julie lives at Corner Farm House. Thank you.

Defibrillator
At the last Parish meeting we agreed to put the defibrillator on the
side of Stoneleigh. Paul has been in discussion with some people about
adopting the phone box to put it in there. We are waiting for a reply
from BT to see if they will allow us to adopt the phone box. Paul hopes you
don’t mind him doing this as he knows we agreed on Stoneleigh, however Paul
feels this is a better option if we can do it. There will be a little bit
of expense for fitting. If anybody has a major objection to what Paul is
doing please let him know. You can email Paul on pm242@btinternet.com

Digital Photography Magazines
Chris Emptage has three year's worth of copies of 'Digital
Photography' magazine. Free to anyone who wants them and Chris is happy to
deliver in the village. Just let Chris know he is at Longfield House. Thanks
Broadband Update
Chris has had the reply below from his contact at EYCC / BT.
I've
contacted BT to check on progress. Unfortunately they have to do some
additional ground works to get light to the cabinet before it can go
live.
This
has meant a delay in their go live date, now set for the end of July.
However, they are working to complete the work as soon as possible.
I've asked them to keep me in the loop on any changes in progress, and I will be in touch as soon as the cabinet is live.

Battle of the Somme Vigil - Bielby War Memorial 30th June 2016
The Battle of the Somme began on 1st July 1916. It is considered the most tragic day in British military history: almost 20,000 soldiers were killed and some 40,000 wounded on that single day.
Nationwide there will be services and vigils of remembrance on 30th June and 1st July.
We shall hold a short memorial gathering, open to all, in Bielby churchyard on Thursday 30th June at 10.00 pm (22.00), just as in 2014 we observed the 100th anniversary of World War I's outbreak.
